Wimbledon 2018

On Tuesday, eight year six pupils and Mr Griffin, Mrs Avola, Mr Moloney and Mrs Emmett travelled down to Wimbledon to experience the glamour and excitement of one of the world’s top sporting venues. Tickets to Centre Court and Court Number One enabled the staff and pupils to watch the incredible Serena Williams, Jelena Ostapenko (a former French Open winner) and Jamie Murray. Lewis P 6KF said “Wimbledon was a truly unforgettable experience. It was great to watch a sport that I had never been to before!” and Lucy SE 6RR said “Going to Wimbledon was a once in a lifetime opportunity. I particularly liked meeting some famous tennis players and watching Jamie Murray play on Centre Court. It is an experience that I will never forget”.
