During Art Week Year 5 looked at the work of William Turner. They researched Turner and then produced their own artwork using chalk, watercolours, tissue paper and coloured pencils and pens. At the end of the week parents were invited to an Art Exhibition where they could see all of the artwork that Year 5 had produced.
Year 6 studied Andy Warhol as part of the school’s recent Art Day. They then produced art work in the style of Andy Warhol, focusing on his work on shoes. Much of this work led to Gold Awards due to the children’s careful observation skills.
