Our Music room has a fantasic new piece of atrwork! Years 4,5 and 6 have created this beautiful piece after listening to Gerswhin’s Rhapsody in Blue. Gerswhin is one of the trailblazers highlighted in the BBCs 10 pieces this year. He was inspired by the sounds of New York in 1924 and the artwork produced by the children shows their own interpretation of the music and how they visualize a city looking. After creating these cityscapes the children have moved on to creating their own city soundscape using various instruments in the music room.
