Today, Year 4 hosted our annual Christingle service assembly. Leading the assembly were the Reverend Mike Morris from the Church of the Servant King in Furzton, parishioners Patricia Leggets and Pauline Winn and Lynne Smith our Chair of Governors.

Year 4 decorated their oranges last week and learnt that the orange is a symbol of the earth, the four corners of sweets represent the four seasons and the candle is to show Jesus as the light of the world.

The children beautifully sang the hymn, Away in a Manger, and listened carefully as Mrs Smith read the Christmas Story.

We would like to thank all the Year 4 parents who bought oranges for their children, and those who kindly donated extra oranges too! Thanks too, to Rev. Morris, Mrs Leggets, Mrs Winn and Mrs Smith for giving up their time to lead this festive assembly.
