On Your Marks, Get Set, GO! GO! GO!

We enjoyed another amazing sports day final and all the houses were represented by some talented athletes.

Go go go Go go go

There was an exciting tug-o-war event that Year 5 and Year 6 took part in, and the scores were added to the athletic results.

The last event was the relay.  Everyone  was looking forward to this as the points won could change the final overall result. There were some brilliant passes of the baton and the spectators were very excited.

Everyone tried their very best and the final results are as follows:

  • 1st Kestrels
  • 2nd Hawks
  • 3rd Falcons
  • 4th Eagles

Well done to everyone for taking part.

Summer Fayre

On the 25th of June it was the summer fayre.  The whole school got to go on the field and buy what they wanted from the stalls.

Summer Fayer Summer Fayer

There were a few stalls, a toy stall, a book stall, a video stall, makeup stall and you could buy popcorn! You could play ‘catch a duck’, ‘name a bear’ and ‘score a goal’, our favourite stall was the toy stall, because there were lots of cuddly toys to buy. There was a bouncy castle and a lovely pony to ride.

Grand Opening Of The Meadow And Woodland Trail

You will soon be receiving an invitation to the grand opening of the meadow and woodland trail. A special guest will be conducting the ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday 27th May after school on the field!

Picinc Picinc

To add even more fun to the day, families are invited to bring a picnic and join in the fun on our huge field. There will be a selection of big games to play, refreshments  and the chance to taste some food samples from the ‘Let’s get cooking’ team and some of the children. Everyone is welcome and we look forward to seeing you!

Following the success of last years’ family scrapbooking competition we will also be running another competition linking our picnic to National Family week. During the half term break we will be asking you to go on a family picnic and report back on the fun you had. Whether it is in your garden, at the lake, in the woods or simply in your living room, write an account of the family fun you had and draw or take a photo then hand them in to school by Friday June the 11th

We are the CHAMPIONS!

On Tuesday 4th May Emerson Valley School Football Team played in the final football tournament at Caroline Haslett School.

Champions Champions

There were 8 teams competing for the trophy and we were confident we had a chance of being the champions.  In the quarter finals we played Olney School and beat them 4-0, playing extremely well. The goal scorers were Joe P, Sam H, Kai E and Maurizio B.

We then played Heronsgate School.  It was a very tight match but we managed to beat them 1-0.  Our keeper, Ethan, was outstanding and made several great saves.

In the final we played Greenleys.  It was an outstanding performance from all of our team and we won 4-3.  The goal scorers were Sam K, Maurizio B, Joe P and in the 1 minute of injury time Kai E scored a tap in at the far post.

It was a great moment. It was brilliant to bring home the trophy!   We were presented with our trophy and gold medals by MK Dons representatives.

Well done to everyone who played.
