Emerson Valley admitted its first pupils in September 1996 and was formally opened by the High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire in March 1997. It is a beautifully designed single storey school, built on a gentle curve. The central core of the building is the hall and administration block with traditional classrooms on each side. The facilities also include a well equipped computer room, library and shared practical areas outside the classrooms.
There is an extensive playing field incorporating an environmental area and landscaped terraces as well as three hard play areas, an astro turf pitch, basketball court and paved patios along the back of the school. The admission number is 120 and the capacity of the school is currently 480.
