Book Week 2019 – 500 word story competition
Thank you and well done to all the children who participated in our 4th annual 500 words competition. The governors, who were judging the awards, commented on the highly creative, original and moving stories that they read, with the job of choosing winners becoming more and more challenging every year. The results are as follows:

Prior to the competition, we announced that our visiting author, Megan Rix, would name one of the characters in her upcoming book after the overall winner. However, after spending time in our school, Megan decided to name four characters in her upcoming book after our four winners! We will soon see Joshua, Harry, Robin and Olivia named as characters in Megan’s upcoming book about the civil rights movement due out in the autumn. Congratulations to our winners!
